This little piece was big fun

The seat portion is the last hoarded bit of the walnut slab used in the same clients' coffee table; careful removal of bark from the crotch's live edge revealed  constellations of figure. The Schaefers had warned me that some of their acquaintance who would be using the bench were large folk, so the base, like them, is stout.
