I’d originally made this Mid Century-style coffee table without the frame surrounding the glass top, but was never entirely easy about the exposed edge of the glass. The beech rim’s splined-miter corners are tidy; the additional structure supports, secures and protects the glass, and if anything makes the top appear even.. floatier, if you will, than without.
